Amazon’s Android App Store is Live!

Today Amazon’s fresh new AppStore has officially been launched. This new platform is aimed to compete with Google’s official Android Market. In the past few months rumors were running like wildfire all over the tech blogs about this “AppStore.” While some details have leaked prior to its release, Amazon has left a few tricks up its sleeve. One of the biggest surprises is the ability to Test Drive’ nearly any Android application in the App Store directly from your browser.

Infinity Blade Review

The first time you boot up Infinity Blade on your iPhone or iPad you are likely to be floored by the visuals featured in the opening cutscene.  If you’re anything like me you’ll say to yourself, “This opening video looks great, I wonder what the game looks like in engine.”  A few seconds after asking myself this question, the game seamlessly transitioned into the opening tutorial and I realized that the astounding visuals I was viewing were in fact the game running in engine without the aid of full motion video.  This iPhone game looks as good in action as many current generation console titles, and in some cases even better.  It wasn’t all that long ago that gaming on your cell phone was limited to blocky iterations of Snake or bland bowling games.  That’s why I am not only excited, but truly amazed to review a mobile game that pushes the horsepower of its hardware while simultaneously innovating within the somewhat stagnant fighting game genre.
